Post subject:  X braces

How do you folks cut the notches in X braces where they cross? On my first guitar
the joint was just semi-OK. It wasn't very tight. I am now working on #2 and my first
attempt on that joint just didn't turn out the way I would like. I have an idea churning
around in my head for a jig but any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Check out Lance Kragenbrink"s picture tutorial in the video and picture tutorial section. Eat Drink I believe it's called "X-braces"

Thanks Todd. Your method may work better for me than the router. My braces are slightly
narrower than 1/4 inch. I'll play around with it tonight. I already have the braces radiused.

Your mention of the pencil line may be where my error was coming in. I'll use a razor blade.

Thanks

Dave
