Greetings, Anyone have any thoughts on bracing with a wood different from the top? i.e. a Lutz top and Sitka braces or Red Spruce and Sitka etc. Terry |

I routinely brace with Adirondack, regardless of the top material. The combination of Lutz and Adirondack (bracing) seems to work particularly well. -C |

Same here...I've always used stiff Adi braces with all Spruce species as well as Redwood. |

A well known Canadian builder, told me he braces with Engleman on all his tops and his guitars sound fantastic. I used this with a sitka top on the Small jumbo I had at Ann Arbor and love the sound, very responsive and loud. Fred Tellier |
