Thanks: Ain't the internet wonderful at times. I could not have even imagined that I could have done it without you all here at OLF. And of course the Compiano book. Waddy it's great sounding, great in the mid range, not as clear or snappy in the bass side of things as I'd like. I think I need to work out some compensation on the treble side. But I sure was relieved when I first strung it up. I put on old strings I had taken off anouther guitar and put them on this. Looks like I'll have to spring for new strings and maybe a label to stick inside. Did I say I appreciate you all for the great advice available here. And thanks to LMI for taking all my spare cash and sending me parts for another guitar. Bill |

Bill the bass response of a guitar can take a while to develop it's full potential so I'll bet that some time, perhaps a month of daily playing, and a new set of strings and you will be happy as can be with the sound. |

Well... I had a terrible time just getting these on to my daughter's computer. Trouble with MS explorer, then a long wait to upload to flickr. I think the computer was turned off with the power button too many times. I'll try some close ups. Like the dummy I am, in the top pic you can see the the only major mistake I made on this one ( the neck block is off center about 1/4 inch). I'll have to frame the pics.... to hide character flaws. ![]() |

beautiful guitar!! very well done. and like hesh said, reserve judgement on the sound for a week or two. and do make sure to get the saddle compenstation and shape adjusted. having a crisp, defined point of contact as the string leaves the saddle makes a huge difference to clarity of sound. phil |
