Ok my first very simple tutorial. My Go-Bar deck is "fixt" so I could not use that, therefor this tutorial. I am not sure this is a "valid" way to glue on the top and back, but it did work perfect for me ! What you would need are two "2" radius discs mine are a 28 and a 15. you will also need a mold for your shape. note: I did the following first 2 steps with only the neck and tailblock attached, "no kerfed linings attached", when I had a good radius on both top and back I glued on the k- linings, then continued and had it sanded perfect. Also make sure you put a cloth under the top when on the disc. 1. sand the "top" of the sides on the top disc to a perfect radius, lean down to check that you dont see any gaps between the disc and the sides. 2. do the same for the back. (double check back and top to see both are without gaps. 3. to glue the back on. Put the finished sanded sides (that sits in its mold) on top of thetop disc and put the back at its place, and then place the back disc on top of it. then clamp between the back and top discs. 4. Do the same for the top. or use weights as on photo. Done !! . the photos below will give you a better understanding I hope. Congratulations on getting it done, just shows there is more than one way to do most jobs. Hopefully you can use your GoBar deck next time, I think it will be a lot easier. |

Lars, is that the truss rod slot at the bottom of the geetar?  I hopes not!!  But if it is let me know, because it would make up for all of mine put together...
