Post subject:  Question about GAL

I haven't posted in a while, but i am still here, kinda like a wart..... wow7-eyes

Anyway,
before christmas my wife bought or subscribed or whatever for a year to GAL for me.
the little print out that came with subscribing said "thanks for your order, blah blah, please allow several weeks for delivery of your first whatever. "
Anyway, that was in december, I still haven't recevied anything. And now I have emailed 2 times and heard nothing from them. How long should I wait before I start to wonder?

Your membership gets you four quarterly copies of 'American Lutherie', a spiffy certificate, and a calendar. The last AL that came out was labeled 'Winter 2008', so you probably won't get the 'Spring 2009' issue until March or so. They may delay the certificate and so on until then to save postage. Despair not: they're good folks and won't steal your money deliberately. Sometimes things go wrong, of course.....

I agree, GAL is good. They will come through. I just received my 2009 stuff. Probably the new year is a busy time for the office staff.

Yes they are slow in getting orders filled, but have always come through. Last year I got a calendar, don't know if they are doing it this year. I suggest if they do send it out with the first issue (end of March) they might as well make the calendar April 1, 2009 to April 1, 2010.

I re-upped with GAL just before the end of last year, and got my calendar and
certificate in early Jan. I like there forum and plans. The "Big Red Books" of old
articles also have a lot of interesting reading.
