This is a recent email I sent to John Hall about his binding cutting jig and bending machine. With his permission I am posting it here. I wanted to get back with you and give you some feedback on the binding jig and bending machine you donated to Red Rocks Community College last semester. ... The binding cutter worked beautifully!! We ran about 30 guitars through it last semester and it performed wonderfully. The only problem my students had was not getting the knob that holds the router quite tight enough but that was operator error. The bending machine also exceeded my expectations. I am sold on the bending machine and so are my students. What a dream working with it. My students that had studied with me in the past and know my old method of bending loved the new machine and new way of bending. We bent tons of sides and bindings last semester and already have folks standing in line to use it this semester. Thank you again for donating these to the school and for your continued support of our program. |
