Here are some pics of my Brazilian & Adi Heritage Grand (0000 deep) at Joe White's today. It's obviously Hesh inspired.

That's a beaut, Mike!
Can I ask...is the 0000 the same body dimensions as the M series?
Thanks!

Absolutely smoking!!!! Another beauty from you Mike my friend!

Is this an OOOO sized guitar in bout dimensions or just the depth?

Can't wait to see it when it's completely finished and assembled. [:Y:] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap]

IIRC .. the 0000 is a body size designation (16 inches at he lower bout) and the M depth is the same as an OM - 4 1/4. It turns into Martins J body if the depth goes to dread, at about 4 7/8.

The 0000 and the Martin M are one and the same. According to Martin's web site, the M has a body depth of 4 1/8" and the J (Martin Jumbo) has a body depth of 4 7/8".

My "Heritage Grand" follows the Martin outline and scale length with a body depth of 4 1/2" The top bracing is the traditional X pattern and the 2 larger back braces are the old flat style which I believe allows for a more lively back plate.

I will post some pics soon of the completed guitar.

The 0000/M is my favorite body style. The extra volume creates a richer bass response than the OM without the "tubby" sound you get with a Dread. I think the narrow waist is an important part which I think explains the current popularity of the Small Jumbo as well.

BTY, beautiful guitar.

Mike, lovely guitar!

One of the guitars I really regret selling is a Martin 0000 / M I had. I'm not exactly sure what model number it was, it had a cutaway, was all black, it hexagonal fingerboard inlays, gold tuners, oval soundhole and an ebony bridge... But most of all I remember what a lovely sound it had. Sold it more than 10 years ago, but I made tracings etc of it before I let it go, and I've been meaning to build one since. Hmmm...
