Has a thread been set up on building this guitar?
Just got the plans from Stewmac and they look really good.
Does anyone know where in England to get the bolts and other neck hardware?
Charles.

Hi Charles you can get the bolts for the necks from Screwfix here:

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/66403/Fix ... Pack-of-50

and the dowels are here:

There are a few places to get the other stuff you need here are a few:

David Dyke: http://www.luthierssupplies.co.uk/

http://www.touchstonetonewoods.co.uk/

There are others but David Dykes is a good place and so is Touchstones they have everything from tools - timber!

I hope this helps you and good luck with the build [:Y:]

All the best
Dave

Thanks for the links. I've dealt with David Dyke before and always found him helpful, though delivery is a bit slow at times.
The links to screwfix were perfect for the hardware.
Cheers,
Charles.

Charles My name is Michael Payne I am the designer and drafter of the OLF MJ I know you will find it to an easy plan to work from. We don't normally have ever lasting singular topics threads here. We tend to have daily discussions that some time last longer. But I will be constantly around to give help or answer questions as you need. I will warn you that you need to find a set of top wood that will render a 16 1/4" back and top. It is sometimes hard to locate in top quality tops for this size but the are available.

I normally post under Michael Dale Payne user id but I have been in Anaheim CA. for the NAMM Show this past week and just make it back to my home a fer moments ago. Anyway just speak up if you need any info.

Thank you Michael. I'm sure that I will be asking for advice before long.
The plans certainly have more detail than the ones I used for my first two guitars which were 000's with truly flat tops. No 2 is just ready for spraying when the weather here gets a bit warmer.
I intend making the molds for the MJ over the next few weeks and perhaps starting the neck.
Charles.
