I have the Bogdanovich and the Cumpiano books but I still have to draw things out for myself to feel comfortable building. I can't find where I want the FB plane in relationship to the soundboard at the bridge location, using a 5/16" bridge. From my initial drawings it looks like I want the line of the top of the FB an 1/8" above the soundboard at the bridge location. Is this correct? Clinton |

1/8 is just sweet (without frets) |

Make your calculations so that the strings are 10mm-12mm off the soundboard when finished. That usually puts the bridge height in the 7mm-9mm range. |

Yes, I read that using an 1/8 saddle my strings should be 10-12 mm off the soundboard. I use the formula .039 times the mm = inch from the book on all my calculations! ![]() ![]() |
