Sweet, Actually that's very similar to the original Larrivee troyji. His was a bench top model too and I think it was Sergei de Jonge who made the floor model. Way to go Filippo, that looks great. |

Hey Louis looks like a great guy!!!! Congrats on the new family member Filippo! ![[:Y:]](./images/smilies/smiley20.gif "Thumbs Up") ![[clap]](./images/smilies/smiley32.gif "adulations") I still have to build my Troyj but I have all of the parts that Lillian was kind enough to make for me and send to me. I was planning on using two of those padded toilet seats instead of foam and think that they would be perfect to support the rim without pressing on the middle of the top or back......   Besides they will remind me of my guitar building heritage.......  Nice work Filippo!

Very clever Filippo. For those who use a leg vise, you can also adapt it into a kind of troyj vise.... it allows me to flip the body all 'round to work on it. |

Very interesting, Filippo. I'm glad you posted this. Thanks to you, too, Dave. I am always inspired by the tools, jigs, and fixtures that builders devise--and some of the most ingenious are also frequently the simplest. |
