Post subject:  Bending Reverse Kerfed Lining With a Venetian Cutaway

I'm doing my first cutaway bliss and before I break a few Spanish cedar reverse kerfed linings trying, I'm wondering if they can be bent using a Fox style bender. I always bend my linings so that it's easier for me to get them glued in place with no breaks from neck block to tail block but the cutaway is a new thing for me. The radius of the smallest curve (the horn) is 1-1/8".

Thanks,
Chuck

On a tight cutaway, you can cut extra kerfs to get it to go around smoothly. It sounds like todds method is to remove material from the side walls of the dentils, is that right? Either way would work.
I carefully cut kerfs in the middle of each dentil in the immediate are of the sharp convex bend (the bend closest to the neck block) on a bandsaw.
