2 pulls each size, to get from .022 to .028. I ground the cutting crescent with a Dremel drum sander. Obviously canted more towards repair than building, as that is my bent... ![]() |

Neat tool! I need one of those right now for the D-35 I'm working on. |

Those are feeler gauges, with the ends ground flat, and the cutting edges ground w/ the dremel drum sander. I've ground them up to .035 on my set. For the minimal amount of time I spent cobbling them up, I get great bang for the buck, or, I suppose, scrape for the second. For my taste, beats hell out of messing around with the fret tang, though I've done plenty o' that, too. The refret I did last night, the wire just laid right down, wicked superglue in (pipette w/narrowed tip), wiped w/ acetone, hit w/kicker from another pipette. Not to be confused with "nutfiles" made from feeler gauges...see Hesh's post about the REAL real nutfiles! |

I got hooked on a powercrafter for cleaning slots and other small details. It's a great tool. http://www.sculptingstudio.com/index.ph ... gory_id=18 Mike Brittain |
