This is a 12 fret 'OO-ish' guitar I built for my daughter. Koa and spruce, w/rosewood trim. 25" scale. Nitro finish.

Very nice Mike, is it based on a classical shape?

But I can't see the resonator ;)

It actually is a shape I came up with for resonator guitars. Basically a OO that a tricone assembly will fit. Dunno what the heck happened to the cone. ;)

Thanks for the kind comments. This is my second try at these new-fangled guitars that use neither cone nor pick-up to make noise. They're kinda fun!

Great looking instrument!

My knee-jerk reflex before reading anyone else's response was
"That looks like a Gurian!"

From two people here, that is not an insult.

Way to go!

Dave

I know who Gurian is but don't think I've ever seen one. Guess I'll have to do a search and see how much I ripped him off. ;)

The other acoustic I made was far different in terms of details, sunburst top, slotted headstock and lots of inlay, so it's not a 'style' so much as just what I felt like doing at the time.

Too Cool Mike, You have to be PROUD! You also have to feel thrilled that your guitar ended up in the hands of someone who will truly appreciate it and keep it singing!
Very Well DONE!

And she's only been playing a few months! I made her the guitar because she outgrew the little Fender 'campfire' guitar we had laying around the house and was starting to play my stuff. :D
I really am proud or her, unlike her old man she's a natural.

WOW, great looking guitar, and for such a talented owner. You can be
rightly proud of both. I'm sure she'll hold that guitar in a special place
in her heart for all her life...as well as her fabulous Dad!!
