I couldn't comment on how it will perform musically, but I sure like the way it looks! It has that "gee whiz, how did you do that?" vibe going for it! So.......how DID you do it? Did you carve the entire surrounding top down, or did you cleverly graft on a bridge piece? Looks like the entire surrounding top was carved down to me. |

I haven't done it yet.That pic. is of a gibson electric les paul.I don't know of anyone doing it with an acoustic, but i'd like to try and probably will.I will be using maple for the top, instead of spruce.I think the bridge is carved in the top, probably cnc'd top.I'm building a dupli-carver to copy it many times.The braceing will have to be special for this bridge as well. ![]() |
