I built a new jig for my new Bosch Colt today. It should help make nice channels for my rosettes. |

Looks good. I love the bright color. I just completed mine about three weeks ago, but it's just ol plain white...I am planning to make use of it for the first time this week. |

Looks great Mark. Make sure the height lock clamp is tight on your new Bosch. I just bought a new one and it appeared to be pretty tight but not so. ![]() |

Look pretty good Mark, I do notice a couple of things though. Your router is only mounted with two holes, and holes at the back only. I don't think this will move side to side at all but it might tilt (ever so slightly) upward when the router is on (vibration) so you might want to secure the front of the router somehow. On my Bosh colt, I just drilled and taped new holes (nice thing with the aluminum base) inside of the guide rods. The other thing is the adjusting rod looks like you've drilled it on center and not above center. That's ok if you just put a couple of nuts on the end and tighten them up, but I'm not to sure if the tele style knob will fit, the diameter may be to big. |

You can get the Tele knob from Stewmac. |

That's why you see 4 holes drilled in the yellow base. The two front ones are under the rods that run through the base. i didn't have to drill on the bosch base that way. I wouldn't just mount with 2 screws.I also offset the center rod so a tele knob will work. |

I Like that orange! Flashy! Mine is a 7310 and I cut the part of the base over the cut out off because it bothers me obstructing the bit view. |

Cool, that's all good than Mark. Sorry if I sounded "holier than thou", it wasn't meant as anything other than what appeared (only from the pictures) may have been something missed. Chris, I did the same thing with my colt. Nice and open to see what's going on in there now. |

Cool jig! ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm going to have a go at making something similar, but with a built-in digital scale for 0.001" precision. I'm a bit fed up with setting my Stewmac Dremel circle cutter jig by eye..... Dave F. |

That's all good Rod,I know it's hard to tell from pictures sometimes what your really looking at.I think it's going to be a big help when doing future rosettes. The one i was using was hard to adjust unlike this one which has sort of a fine adjustment built in. |

They are not at all difficult to make. I encourage you to make your own. See the exact plans and parts needed at http://www.wellsguitars.com/Articles/Precision_Router_Base/Router_Base.html. |
