Well, I didn't finish in time to add it to the Thread on Guitars completed in 2008, but I did finally finish. 14 Fret 24.4 Dreadnaught Guitar Bearclaw Sitka Top EIR Back & Sides Honduran Rosewood Fingerboard Bloodwood Bridge and Bindings B&W "Rope" Purfling on Top and Back Shellac French Polish Finish She sounds great! For #3, I will try an OM based on Michael Payne's OLF Plans. I apologize in advance for the pictures. My DSLR went Kaput over Christmas so I'm using a pretty crummy Point and Shoot. |

Thanks Chuck and Dave. Dave, I used the Herringbone Dreadnaught plans from LMI or Stew Mac (can't remember where I bought them, but I assume they're both the same). I'm looking forward to trying Michael's OM plans for #3 and get a feel for building some different sizes. Now that I have this one, I might have to set my first out with the trash and see if they'll pick it up. ![]() |

Beautiful! The french polish really brings out the figure in the wood. Love it. |

Beautiful guitar. I love the combination of the EIR and the bloodwood. Give me your address and your trash pick up days...I'll make sure your first gets picked up. ![]() Darrin |

Thanks for the nice compliments everyone. While it's still not perfect, it sure looks and plays a lot nicer than #1. Things just started making more sense while building this one. Every time I open the case, I think to myself......"I made this". It's a nice feeling. Happy New Year to all. |
