Hi,

Just started using HHG myself. I have glued two guitars up using it and really like it. My question is, has anyone or could a person use it to glue carbon fiber rods in the neck? I've done test pieces' with about an hour or so drying time so far and it seems to be bonding well.

If anyone has experience please help me out...
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff bro you know who would know - Jim Watts who is a member here and one heck of a nice guy too. He sells CF parts and uses them in his own beautiful and innovative guitars. You might want to PM him and his screen name is "Jim Watts."

I would use epoxy (and will in the next neck which will have CF bars) and not HHG or any glue that would introduce any amount of moisture in the neck. I also try not to use any glue which would introduce any amount of moisture in the neck for any of the joints. Not to say that I haven't in the past guitars, but I'm becoming more enlightened to the effects of that much glue (glues with water) and what it can do to a neck.
