I just received this book and took a very quick glance through it and all I can say is WOW! For a newbie like me it really is a treat! Not only do they go through the motions on how to spray a great finish, but the coolest part is that it gives many, many color examples of some of our "grail guitars"; Martin, Strat, L5, etc..... And then it goes on telling you exactly how to recreate that finish!
It doesn't take much to get me going. I mean, I can sit with many different types of lutherie books for hours on end and feel like a kid in a candy store. But this one especially got me! Great gift to hint to your wife about around this time of the year.
