I'd go for No. 1 also. But I do like the asymmetrical Idea only because it bothers me and that is good. Depends on whether the classical guitarist is going to play Granada or Quatre Pieces Breves.

The image is kind of pixilated so you loose a little in translation but in a traditional sense I like one but I might change my mind if I could see the shapes in finer resolution as I suspect #2 has an interesting asymmetric curve to the top that might be interesting. |

hi Matt This aint easy, I’m struggling with this one myself and it’s not easy to be original though it’s a good challenge. #2 don't do it for me so #1 wins. I’m seeing the Canadian maple leaf emblem suggested in it, could be a good selling point! yours Geordie |

Of the two #1 is by far the best, as has ben said I don'y think assymetric works on a slothead. For me though even #1 is too angular, I think smooth and flowing works better. Colin |

Saving AutoCAD as a JPEG: 1) Zoom in so that the objects fill in the viewer window. 2) Click the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard 3) Go into your favorite JPEG editor program and select Edit >> Paste. 4) Voila! Resolution is dependent on screen resolution. You can get more pixels by increasing screen resolution, if necessary.. |

Plot as a JPG then the resolution is dependent on plot settings not the monitor settings The command is; Plot Settings are: Printer/Plotter name to “Publish to web jpg.pc3”. Shaded viewport options to “As displayed” Quality to “Maximum” Plot area can be display, extents, limits, view or window. Orientation can be portrait or landscape Press OK and it will ask for a file name and location. This gives the best possible resolution because it works off of vector settings not display settings. |

OK, as you asked, I'll admit that I don't really like either one. If pressed, I'd offer that #1 has more potential. So much depends upon the execution treatment that doesn't show in the drawing. Its those severe cuts that are the issue for me, not so much the general theme. I'd make the cuts more of a surface chevron treatment, and add another at the base of the crest. |

I would too make the cuts less severe. And maybe reduce the upper "crescent", make the two peaks closer together? |

I'd say #1, but bring that center piece down a little so it dosnt stick out as much. |

For me...#2! I am with Chris on this, I like things balanced but not symmetrical. When did "tradition" become entrenched? Start your own new "tradition". But if you want to keep the population (and if they represent your customers) happy, I guess you will have to build on #1. Mikey (Collins) don't you have a none traditional head stock that you use sometimes as well that you can share with us? Shane |
