Or at least, my first guitar seen on tv!! Quite a cool feeling... A customer of mine played his Rasmussen L-00 on swedish television the other day. He commisioned it this spring and it was delivered in september. Brazilian and euro spruce with a light burst. Its from the first batch after I came back from mr Somogyi, so its lighter built than I normally do(did), and with a lattice below the bridge. Its this little thing: ![]() ![]() ![]() And heres the clip: http://www.tv4.se/1.283438?videoId=1.761635 Best, Lars |

Hi Lars. first, beautiful guitar !! ![]() ![]() ![]() Question, Although its not easy to just define one guitar to another, but if you tried, then how would you say this kinda bracing on your guitars differs/sounds compared to a more standard bracing pattern. ?? Lars S. |

Beautiful instrument and my kind of music... even if I haven't a clue what they were singing about. |

Thanks folks. Dave youre right, I didnt think of that! Its in swedish, and in a very 'southern accent', in fact so much that even I dont really hear what he's singing... ![]() ![]() Lars, Its hard to give a general comment, ive only built four using this system. What I can say is that it allows me to build thinner(combined with a lam. rim, and rev. kerfed lining), and I get a much more responsive tone. Its also louder, and when tapped it still rings when I get closer to edge. Im just in the finishing stages of a baritone prototype with this sytem, and Im very excited about it! You should come by after christmas and we could have a coffee. |

What a great piece! Even if in Swedish I could relate to the emotion in the words. The tone of your guitar is amazing. Congrats Lars!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I had missed the link before. The guitar sounds fantastic. I love the way it cuts through and all of the overtones present even in a live, mic'd situation. I noticed the very present high end in the guitar, which the mic and room push out even more. I'm not familiar with 00's, but does your lattice system allow a full low-end in larger bodied guitars? |

Thanks James. I think he was mixing the built in K&K system with the front mic. He actually specified less bass, since he is a bouzouki player, and wanted that caracter. So the guitar is pretty thinbodied, less than 4 inches (95mm) and has an enlarged soundhole for opener and less bassy tone.Ive only built one really big guitar with this system, a 12f dread, and it had a huge bass. Almost too much so I think I went too loose on that one. The Baritone that Im building is a small jumbo (16 1/4) so I look forward to hearing how thatll sound. |

That's really cool, Lars. What an interesting design. I was thinking too, after posting, that some of the drones in the tuning are pushing the highs out, too. Thanks so much for sharing all this. Did you do the burst? |

Hi Lars, I loved the video. Your work continues to impress. The guitar you brought to class was one of our favorites, but I like the sound of this one even better. It also sounds like you've been able to take the info we got in Ervin's class and use it to craft the sound your customer desired for this instrument. That's awesome. Joe |

Lars, you're my hero! ![]() <edit> I understood most of the words, but I don't know why St. Staffan rode his horse into the water on Christmas Eve and so on. Sounded like an old legend, or...? |

Superb guitar Lars my friend in ALL respects!!!! The sound is to die for and the look of this guitar is exactly what I like to see in a guitar. I also love L-OOs which makes this one of the nicest guitars that I have ever seen on the OLF. As such your getting a rare 7 clapping hands!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
