I'm in the market for a new tuner so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this particular tuner. Is it worth the price/ Are there any known weaknesses or flaws? |

i use one of these: http://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?A_PROD_NO=DTR2000 absolutely love it! i used the old model for years until it was 'borrowed' and it was just as good. dont be tempted by the behringer copy, its worse than useless, i tried it as there was no alternative for a couple of days - it would hardly pick up a bass guitar low E....absolutely pathetic! I use the plug in little Peterson clip on transducer on guitars with no pick up, works fine. I'd like to try the jumbo peterson for my bench at some point, although i dont want something over sensitive - the korg just works right for me and refuses to let me down! |

If you're going to be using it for tap tuning, I'd suggest that you get the Peterson StroboSoft v2 deluxe software and run it on a laptop or similar computer. It has nice features like time-domain and FFT spectrum display that you'll regret not having if you get the Stroboflip standalone dealeo. Just my  .Dave F. |

I have owned a Peterson Stroboflip for about a year and use it almost daily to check intonation on new builds, compensating saddles and general instrument tuning. It works best with the instrument plugged in to the tuner but is very usable with the built in mic. It has many features, but like my DVD player, I have only mastered the ON/OFF switch! I use one daily doing setups on electric guitars and basses, and its really, really nice. I really liked the old one, but this one is a lot smaller and handier with the battery. Just dont forget to press on/off before flipping it back together, just flipping it wont turn it off... |

I have one and I'm happy with it. When I first got it I found the analog display very difficult to use, but once you get used to it, it works fine. |
