Finished my sixth classical. This one took a while, 8 months, mostly because I built some new jigs along the way and tried some new techniques. I’ve settled on this design for a while so I'm hoping to build the next few quicker.

Specs are, EIR Back/Sides/headplates/binding, german spruce top, Spanish cedar neck, BRW bridge, maple , purflings and rosette all natural wood colors--ebony, maple, mahogany, bloodwood, basswood, bubinga. Pumice fill French polish, hide glue throughout.

I’ve included two soundclips but please note, I’m not a player/performer (as will be evident if you listen) I just play because I enjoy playing as much as building. Also, my recording was done at home on a cheap office voice recorder. Between the poor recording and my amateur skills don’t expect much.

congrats on a really nice guitar, although your office recorder leaves a bit to be desired, I really enjoy hearing soundclips of the guitars posted here.

Very nice Marc! Beautiful work. Nice job on the pieces too. I've tried the Dowland one, and I can't do it yet.

Superb job Marc, both on the making and playing of the guitar. You won me over as it's Tarrega and Dowland, my two specialities (or they used to be :cry: ).

Colin, I'm sorry to hear about your predicament, something in the universe isn't right for you to be injured in just that way.

The guitar sounds pretty good for a #6, sounds better than alot of stuff around here.

Beautiful work Marc [clap] [clap] Really a wonderful appearing and sounding instrument. The V-joint neck is a nice touch and definitely adds to the overall impression of crisp, clean craftsmanship. It sounds great too!! Congratulations.

That is beautiful - well worth the eight month wait I am sure. I love the back of that peg head. I used the same Sloan tuners on my last build and I love them too.

jfmckenna, The sloanes are great, very smooth, well built. The rollers are more stiff than schallers, not much wiggle room, the hole spacing has to be just right.
