Show me your pics of cauls for gluing on fingerboard preferably with frets installed. I know that John Watkins sells one, but it would have to be be slotted. Thanks

Well I use my Stewmac Aluminum sanding caul but before I had it I took Friendly-Plastic and a piece of ply 2" wide x 1/2" thick 14" long. placed a radised but non slotted or tapered fretbord on my granit slab. heated the Friendly-Plastic and laid it over it placed the ply on top and leveled the plywood before the Friendly-Plastic set up. After it all set up I cleanded up the excess spill over with a box knife and double suded taped the ply to the Friendly-Plastic. And that was my caul and sanding block for a couple years.

Ricardo...I disagree. I used the Watkins radiused caul on a fretboard that had already been fretted. No slots and it worked like a charm. I have another one coming up where I'll be gluing before fretting and I expect it to work just as effectively.

I probably could use my 12" radiused fretboard sanding block that I got from Stewmac as a clamping caul.

No Pics Ricardo but this is how I do it for gluing on a fretted or unfretted fingerboard.
Straight dressed 19mm thick timber sized to the maximum width of the fingerboard
Cardboard strips (solid not corrugated)about 3/8 wide glued along the outer edges of the face.
Add layers until they are thick enough that the board only bears on the edge of the fingerboard not the centre.
Cover with plastic packing tape for resistance to glue adherence.
Works well
