It's cool looking wood Filippo!

I Googled it and was only able to find info on how it originated: The loganberry is generally thought to be derived from a cross between the European red raspberry cultivar 'Red Antwerp' and the American blackberry. It was an inadvertent cross that a California lawyer did by planting the two trees mentioned too close together. The berries were said to not taste very good more on the order of dangleberries....... :D

I was not able to find any examples of it being used for guitar building but wanted to bump this thread anyway to see if the gang has any more info.

I would buy it for the fact that it looks great and you really can't have too much pretty wood in your life. If nothing else it would make some great bindings etc. Or maybe a nice tea box ;)

Hesh,

I hate to blow a raspberry, but the loganberry grows on a sort of bramble. If the wood in the picture is the same species then you would have to climb Jack's Beanstalk to find it and the berries would be the size of a house :shock: Another example of the confusion of common names for wood.
