Just wandering if springback from useing a side bender is common enough to warrent building the bender with an allowance for the spring back issue.I realise that all woods are different as far as how much springback occurs. With this said, should some allowance be built in to lessen this effect for less touch-up on the pipe? What are your thoughts on this?

I put a little bit of spring back in the ones I've built, but like you said different wood react different. I almost always have to touch up on a pipe.
