Thanks for the comments! I got the Hackberry several years ago from an old man that bandmilled lumber for a hobby.....he always had some real nice wood. |

Thanks again for all the nice comments! I think it sounds pretty good.... to be quit honest I haven't played that many different acoustic guitars so I don't have much to go on. It sounds better than my first one...a least to me. Ken, I'm not really sure about my next woods as of yet with the 3rd one. But I can't wait to get started on it! I'm thinking of trying Walnut B&S on the 3rd. This gets a little expensive just to be building them for the fun of it, but theres something about it that drives you to try and build one better than the last! Thanks again! |

Fine work Jeff, you should be proud. It's amazing how much the Jatoba resembles Sapele. I think your choice for bindings is totally cool. Never seen Hackberry used for guitar work...til now. Love it. Do you have a close-up of the rosette? Steve |

Great looking guitar!I also like your choice of useing Hackberry for the binding as it is a very durable wood and adds a unique element as well. ![]() |

Hi Steve, Thank you and the others also for the thumbs up on my guitar and the Hackberry binding! The rosette is Spalted Maple. I used spruce dividers in between each of the Maple segments to break up the design somewhat. Thanks again! Jeff Edit: I tried to upload a close-up of the rosette but couldn't get it to post? |
