I get electric kits , I have a tele strat and les paul. Contact me through email at tippie@epix.net. Most of the work is sanding and finishing. They do make a nice good sounding and playing guitar. You won't need any special tools and you can do them in a few weekends. john hall |

What are your budget? There are saga strat or tele kits available on ebay for around $100 but you might want to change out some parts like pickup and tuner and etc. otherwise they're good kit. You can also try the Carvin bolt kit which is quite good for the money. I will assume that if you are building a violin or other instruments an electric guitar sound be a piece of cake. Besides finishing most the work would be in wiring the electronics and setting everything up. If you really want to challenge yourself you can look up the "build a Fender/Gibson Les Paul the hard way" on google.... |

http://www.grizzlyindustrial.com/produc ... itar%20kit Grizzly has some nice kits also. They have some nice figure on the maple. I did build one of the strat styles and it came out very nice . The saga kit has some centerline issues. The griz was on the money. I did swap out the pick ups for a P90 and a humbucker john |
