I'm sure you may know of this already, but LMI (www.lmii.com) offers Ovangkol at a reasonable price, and they offer sales reps you can contact and ask if they by chance have any flamed sets to offer. It's a long shot, but it's worth a try.

I'd love to see an instrument crafted with it when you get this set you're asking for.

I've just signed on for the first time and saw your call for ovankol I'm just about ready to cut about 20 sets in the next week or two I have no idea how to get pictures to you but I do have a good camera and some friends that can help . this is my first computr but I have lots of wood .

Look for it under it's more common name...Shedua and you'll find lots of it. Just saw some incredible figured boards at Gilmer website.
