Well mostly..... but certainly operational and I finally have a place to build guitars.......

My apologies for subjecting the forum to so many updates during the building of my shop - after this thread showing you my new digs I won't do it again.

I spent all day building some new benches and they came out great. I just have to add a bottom shelf to the bench that I will use for most of my building. Something that I had always wanted was an island bench for set-up. Once I hang another stinkin light over it and build the super secret guitar vice that David Collins is going to help me with the island bench will be good-to-go.

Here is the main shop:







Here is the outer office/zoot storage area and I finally have a good place to hang my shop guitar:



My bro JJ helped me learn how to french polish and this guitar was built as an experiment to see how light I could build:



Here is the office:



This is where I will put my table saw. I still have to throw up some stinkin dry wall first before moving the saw in place and I have a separate air cleaner for this room too. The outlet is 20 amp:



And here is one of the two benches that I built today and this will be where I will do most of my building:



Woo Hoo I am so very excited to be back in the saddle again - so-to-speak.....

Rich I have enough material (Photoshopped pictures of me by Billy) to make my own calender and plan on doing just that..... I do still have to hang my Jimi Hendrix pictures so thanks for reminding me.

Steve no Le Fridge in my shop but it's a great idea. I do have an excellent drinking table for visiting Luthiers to kick back and have a few.

Waddy bro did you see the "Good Luck" dehumidifier........ Now I am paranoid about mine after hearing what happened to yours.

Congrats on the new shop Hesh! May your building days be many and memories pleasant.

JJ I messed up and have the air cleaner pointed in the wrong direction..... I wanted the intake toward the sanders not the exhaust. So you and Joe should come back up and help me rehang it......

I was able to get some of my art up in the shop today and now I feel better being surrounded by my heroes.

Hey Hesh,

Congratulations, the shop looks great! I know you put a lot of time and effort into it's planning, layout and now the actual construction. I'm sure that there will be many worthwhile hours of build-time spent there in the near future and the years to come.

There will always be a few tweaks as time goes on but you have a great start and an inviting work place. If you want to take a break for an afternoon give me a call and perhaps a drive over here to Troy will be in order. I'm sure that I can pop for lunch a few brews.

But it is too dang clean! It is so clean it almost creeps me out. I don't remember when I was in such a clean shop, and compared to mine it looks like a palace! I'll be remodelling mine this winter.

Looks superb, Hesh! I love working at an island bench, and having other benches nearby where I can keep "stuff", out of the way of whatever I'm working on at the main bench. I know you said you were done posting pictures, but make sure you post some pictures of that super secret guitar vise, OK? We won't tell, promise!
