Here's some pictures of the last triple O guitar I built.
The back and sides and head veneers were a made from a very unusually figured (birdseye?) Koa I cut from a board I aquired.
The top is Master grade Adirondack red spruce, ebony binding, pyramid bridge, fretboard, estate ivory nut and saddle,Honduran mahogany neck,Schaller "open back machines, nitro finish. It has a bolt on neck with a glued "tongue"
It sounds "nice"

Brad, as usual, very sweet.
A most interesting piece of Koa. I bet that was exciting to find.
I hear ya about the "nice" sound. Short and to the point.
Good for you!

Steve

Thanks for the compliments.

Steve, I gave up trying to describe sound,it's like trying to describe the taste of wine!(fruity with woody overtones? Dry and nutty?)

I heard that.
But at least tell us about the "finish".
And what "overtones" are there? Strawberries? Red currants?
Etc...

Brad,

Very nice job! [:Y:]

I really like the rosette. I guess still being new I never thought of stacking BWB purfling for a more dynamic look.

Stunning Brad and I love the finish too. I also really like the head stock design/shape - it is indicative of superb quality in my mind.
