Can anyone point me to a website or an old post that discusses bracing patterns and the pros and cons of each? Would like to see A bracing around the neck and the variations of the standard Martin X bracing etc. I've heard of combiniing the A neck bracing with the Martin X bracing on the lower body but I've never seen an example or heard how a guitar sounded built in this manner. Would like to read about how scalloping affects the sound and learn more how scalloping is done. Does the bracing vary considerably with the body style? for example, how would the bracing change on a 000 body vs a dreadnaught?

Yep just click on the "search" function and enter a string such as "scalloped bracing" or "parabolic bracing." Also try it selecting the "forum archives" in the forum box to see some good discussions.

will take you to a very interesting set of posts where people have uploaded 'Henk-o-Grams' of their guitars. Mostly Martin's all very interesting.

Here's a couple of pics of a recent OM. Scallopped lower bout with A-frame upper bout bracing.
