Bit of a long shot;does anybody out there have a body shape for a 70s Fender Starcaster? I usually build acoustics ,a friend has asked me to build one of these quirky looking guitars. I live in the UK and I have not seen one. I have scaled up a photo on Photoshop ,it's near but not quite right. Any information would be very much apprieciated. Greetings from a very wet Hastings 1066 Rick |

I just gave one back to a kid last night after a setup...he got it for $25 at a garage sale, never played! If I can get it back for an hour, I'll trace it for you...just the body? Larry |

I think Rick mentions the 335-like Starcaster of the '70s, pretty rare and selling at premium prices on the vintage market. Not the more recent cheap acoustic import. |

That would be great Larry, but as Laurent says this is the old 70s Starcaster semi acoustic with f holes. Fender have recently brought out a budget range of electrics and acoustics under the Starcaster name. They bare no resemblement to the 70s model. Thanks Rick |

Ah, yes...okay Rick...I see what you're after now, and the kid's starcaster is the little solidbody "strat wanna-be"....maybe next time! |
