There is a local Wood Crafter store that has Brazilian Cherry and a wood called Makore. There is also a wood I think is call Bocoate? Does anyone have any comments regarding using any of these woods to build guitars?

All good tonewoods. Makore, Bocote and Brazilian Cherry. Makore is really nice to use and makes a mahogany like guitar.... soundwise.

I use Makore with curly Sycamore for my homemade purfs.
Bocote is very oily -be careful of it!
Looks nice but can be a tough wood to glue up.
Jatoba -Brazilian Cherry is nice-hard- comes in many different figures and is hard enough to use for fingerboards!!
I have some birdeye sets i cut in the earlt 80's!!

When I looked at the Bocote I thought it looked very oily. I Thought about finger board material. The material I am looking at is very 1/4 sawn.
Have you ever used 1/4 sawn Makore for B&S? The Brazilian Cheery looks really good for neck material?
