Post subject:  Air Supply. . . Not the Band

I've made another step in the luthier world. . . .
In an attempt to clean up my finishes, I built some new plumbing in my garage to help with moisture and oil going to my gun. My plumbing runs up the wall and at angles back towards the compressor with a drain in the middle of two angular runs.

I'm running a 1 hp compressor with 3/4" Galvanized to my touch-up gun. This might sound like big pipe, but I may upgrade the compressor later. The whole system contains 33' of piping.
Looking for moisture traps, regulators, and filters has been quite a task.
Any suggestions on what to get and where to get these devices?
I know I need a regulator at the output of the piping. It appears I need a moisture trap also.
Do I need an oil trap and dessicant filter? Do I need a just a plain filter in-line also?
Humidity is higher where I live (S. Carolina).
Thanks for the help.

Check out a locak pro paint supply house for top end filters and moisture traps. if your compressor uses oil then yes you need an oil filter. Or do what I did and for the money of the upgrade compressor alone convert to a 3 or 4 stage turbine HVLP system and use your compressor only for shop needs.

Thanks for the advice. I'll check one of those shops.
