Doing some glueup on padauk for a Tenor Uke at the moment.
The glue is taking a LONG time for initial set, but seems fine eventually.
Is this the oils in the Padauk preventing absorbtion of moisture or chemically inhibiting the titebond?

How long was LONG?

I joined a Padauk back recently, and didn't notice any difference compared to usual results. It did have a backstrip, though.

More like an hour for initial setup rather than 15 minutes.
The same glue is working fine on other woods

i've had the same experience as jtkirby.
i've built 2 guitars with paduak b and s's and have not noticed any different behavior with titebond - as compared to guitars built with rosewood and sapele.
