Sundays sometimes provide me with a bit of surfing time on the web, though I should be doing
more productive things.

Here's something of interest I ran across today - a report of a new material
called 'buckypaper' - ultra-tiny cylinders known as carbon nanotubes that are
"10 times lighter but potentially 500 times stronger than steel when sheets of it are
stacked and pressed together to form a composite"

It would be a ways off into the future, but it seems like a material that could be of use
in instrument building some of these days.
