Here's my latest guitar, a cocoblo / Italian spruce steel string. Mahogany two piece neck, ebony fingerboard, bridge and appointments, finished with nitro over z-poxy. 645 mm scale, 400 mm wide lower bout. It's got a nice, deep voice, but it's clear and distinct in the mids and trebles as well. To my ears it's probably my best sounding guitar to date, if I may be so bold! Hopefully it will mature into an even richer sounding instrument over time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking! |

That's lovely, Arnt! Classic European styling, and what appears to be flawless craftsmanship. As usual, it's a treat to see one of your instruments. Thanks for posting, Steve |

Arnt, Lovely instrument - very tasteful and full of class. Beautiful craftmanship as usual. Any chance of a soundclip? How thin did you take the cocobolo back and sides down to? |

Really, really nice, Arnt. Squeaky clean! Only in looks, hopefully, not squeaky when played! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

A perky looking guitar, Arnt! It really looks like it could be incredibly light and wonderful to play. Beautiful! |

Nydelig!! Extremely nice and clean as always Arnt, so give us a shot of that back! Is the top from rivolta? Gotta get my ass up there and visit you someday! My best friends girlfriend is going to the music conservatory now, so it might be soon! |

Thanks everybody, you are most kind! The back... I'm delivering the instrument tomorrow, and my good camera is unfortunately MIA. The pictures in the first post were taken in a hurry today at work with an old camera, and for the life of me I couldn't get a good picture of the back. Here is a couple that were taken during construction that will have to do. First, one that shows how it looked with freshly scraped bindings... ![]() And this one was taken during finishing (sorry about the reflections) ![]() Dave: My notebook says the back was 2 mm before it was glued on. Howard: No comment! Lars (skinnysteel): This instrument is indeed intended to be a sibling to the instrument I believe you are referring to (although it was a guitar bouzouki, not a baritone. Close enough!), and was commissioned by http://www.andreasaase.com/, the fellow who owns the ‘zouk. Lars Rasmussen: Yes, this top is from a bunch that I got from Rivolta back in 2004. There is a bit more runout than I like to see in some of them so I probably won’t use them all, but generally they are very nice. You know you have a standing invitation to my shop. Thanks again folks, you make my day! |

This is exactly what I love to see in a guitar too - tasteful, restrained, makes you want to pull the shades, not answer the phone, and chow down on some fresh baked cookies....... ![]() Superb, classy, HOT - great guitar Arnt my friend! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
