The bridge for my Weissenborn style guitar has a steep ramp, so I'm wondering if the Stew Mac Bridge Clamping Caul will allow even pressure to be applied, used in combination with the Sloan Bridge clamp, thanks. Ron M. |

Ron buddy there is a mod that you can do to the clamp(s) and caul that will permit the Stew-Mac bridge clamping caul to follow the angle of a bridge that ramps backwards. This idea I learned from Colin. Remove the metal disk from the ball on the clamp(s) and mill an indentation in the bridge clamping caul to match the exposed ball on the clamp(s). This also keeps the clamps from trying to slide off the caul. Sorry I don't have a pic of this but Colin does and has posted it here on the OLF prior. |

You could add a stip or two of cork at the back of the clamping caul so it contacts the back edge of your bridge. |
