At one time there was a discussion about the cranking thing (clamp) that is mounted on a bender to bend sides and where to get one. I had saved a link to the vendor and now I can't find it and I can't remember who the vendor was... ![]() |

The 12" ones are a little harder to come by. I got mine from highlandhardware.com. You can also get them at Wetzler.com. |

Funny ting is most screw presses are sold in uneven number increments 7” 9” 11”. I guess this is because the screws are turned in a given number of threads per inch so the threaded portion of the screws tend to be machined in even number increments 8”, 10”, and 12”. Now you add the nut to the equation it will almost always eat up a 1” increment of the screw so if you have 12”of threaded screw length, less the nut length. that leaves 11” of adjustability in the press. |

Not to nitpick, but I believe they're called press screws. Screw presses are used to extract juices or oils from fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, etc. |

Grizzly has their "Veneer Press Clamp" for $14.50. That may be the one you remember reading about... http://www.grizzlyindustrial.com/products/Veneer-Press-Clamp/H2597 |

Woodworkers Supply and Seven Corners Hardware carries 12" Jorgensen press screws but they're about $25 from 7 corners and $31 from Woodworkers. |

I just saw an actual screw press in the latest Grizzley catalog...sorry, left it at work! It's not the veneer press mentioned above... I got some nice 9" ones from Rockler as well. |

Hi Steve, I bought my press screws (12") from Wetzler http://www.wetzler.com/press.shtml. The price was quite reasonable and delivery was prompt. Rick |
