Hey all,
I just arrived in Herndon, VA tonight and am looking for something to do tomorrow while my wife is busy taking care of business. If any of you are in the area and working in the shop tomorrow, I'd would love to visit. I promise not to ask too many questions unless your up for that sort of thing, and, I'll bring beverages... if needed! I know it is late notice, but if any of you are up for it, please pm me. The alternative is a weekend away from the/any shop and major withdrawal may occur. eek
I'll check for pm's early in the a.m..
thanks in advance from any takers,
chris

I'm around today, but up in Germantown...about 45 minutes driving time (toll road into 495N, then Exit 18 on 270N). You might also try Jim Warwick at J. Warwick Guitars...sometimes works Sat AM. PM me if you want to head up.

Todd

Todd,
I sent you two pm's. Both appear in my outbox but not in my sent box. I sent another pm earlier this morning and it is in my sent box. I don't know whether they are going through or not. So please send me a pm with your phone if you haven't gotten my pm's.

If anyone knows whether this pm behavior is normal or if this indicates some sort of problem, please let me know.
thanks,
chris

Hey all you D.C. politicians are safe, this carpetbagger is heading back to Illinois. Oops,we have a candidate that fits that category.

Regardless, even with very short notice, this Online Luthiers Forum never ceases to surprise me. The sharing of knowledge and camaraderie completely amazes me. I really believe teaching is next to Godliness.... and since cleanliness is on the other side... where does that put Hesh? I have to say, I didn't see any sawdust in Todd's shop even though he told me of how he still had to clean this weekend... hmmm.

I was able to spend some time with Todd Stock today and was truly enlightened. There are so many things a new builder can learn in a short time from a veteran builder... at least one willing to share to one able and willing to learn. I truly recommend to all of you out there still learning the basics to partner up with a willing veteran, even if you have to pay for it. The rewards are incredible technical advancement.. like when the German scientists moved to the US. In no time, you'll be able to blow up the planet. Better yet, the building and playing experience will increase by one hundred megatons. Talk about beating the oil market!

To all of you who know Todd Stock, next time you see or talk to him, give him an at-a-boy.

thanks Todd and OLF,
chris oliver

Chris,
After 12 hours of sanding drywall mud in the boss's new office, I was in no shape to entertain. Sorry. When I was able to log in, you had already departed the area.
