I've got some HHG that I made into cubes and froze last winter. Cubes are wrapped in wax paper in a little tupperware container. I'd guess no more than 9 months old tops, never un-frozen. Does anyone think I shouldn't use this so long as there's no visual evidence of freezer burn? |

Freezer burn is the key. I have used mixed and frozen HHG after a year. I leave no air space and triple wrap 2 oz poly bottles filled to the top. My tests have been virtually identical to freshly mixed glue. This was an academic exercise since it's so easy to make fresh stuff and use it quickly. |

The first time I made some up, it was a large batch that I put in the freezer without sealing it well enough to stop the freezer burn. After 3 months all that was left was some desiccated lumps that didn't resemble anything that you'd want to use. It wouldn't even melt when heated. Got tossed, and now I just make enough for one instrument, that will get used within a month. |
