Took me way too long, but I finally got it done! Sounds AWESOME. Tons of power, spank, and overdrive once it's up past 7. Tone knob really makes a big sweep. Loving it! (the gibby's for sale now) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Very cool. I really like it when guys dabble in electronics. I always toyed with making my own pedal, but had no idea where to get the proper schematics. Did you build yours off a plan or just your own knowledge? If you did build it off a schematic, where did you get them and how much did they cost? Thanks. |

Way Cool, John. Beautiful amp. What kind of speaker did you put in there? |

Looks great! I put together a firefly (1 watt, great overdrive at very low volume) amp from the ax84 site. http://ax84.com/ I've yet to build a nice cabinet for it, because when I built it I didn't know if it would be worth the effort - and this was before I discovered guitar building. I would suggest anyone interested check out the ax84 site. Nice folks, and with a minimal understanding of schematics you can build a great amp. |

Wicked cool, John. I did a similar thing last year. Mine are based on a JTM-45, and man do they thump. I can't use them in most situations because they're just too loud. Haven't found time to build the cabinets yet. |

wicked John! I didn't build the cab on mine... the woodworking is no biggie, but the tolex...ugh.. did it once before.... never again. You can get a pro made cab for under $300. |
