I am having a hard time finding solid holly for bindings, inlay, etc. Veneer seems to be available & I am wondering if anyone has made 2 or 3 ply laminated, holly with a truly "white" adhesive, in otherwords invisible?
A source of high quality solid holly is still my first choice.

Knox gelatine from the grocery store is a transparent adhesive.
A quick check on eBay turned up this:

Dries clear unless you puddle it!
make sure you wood to wood joint is perfect !

that gelatine thing is curious, is it strong enough to then heat and bend the laminated binding?

thanks
MM

No, you'd have to glue it up on a form first and then glue it to the guitar.
