Hi Lance, That's a mighty fine looking neck jig there. I'd appreciated a mini-tutorial on how it works out for you. There might be one of these in my future.... I spent WAAAAAAAAY too much on wood at the swap, but I got some awesome sets that will keep me busy for a couple of years at least!! ![]() A big THANK YOU to all the sellers for your bargains ![]() When's the next one? ![]() Cheers, Dave F. |

Yeah I was going to ask what it was too - VERY cool Lance!!!! And black faced dial indicators too - you know next you will be wanting a Dyson vac and a Movado watch....... ![]() Luthier Tools stuff is the nicest engineered and made jigs that I have ever seen. I scored some BRW bindings from by friend Peter and a nice Redwood top from you/Lance - thanks again my friends. I wanted to add that this has been yet again a VERY successful swap meet and the activity level was way up there. Thanks to you and Brock for all that you do for us. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks too to all of our excellent sponsors and the members who offered stuff for sale. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The swap was a little top heavy for me ... I got 2 Adi tops from Bob C, and 1 German top from Steve at Colonial. I also got some Mad Rose bindings. I showed alot of restraint so I could pick up some Father's day/B-Day presents at John Halls - needed a binding jig and bending jig (and perfect timing from Uncle Sam on my rebate check). Glenn |

4 Back & side sets, neck wood and some Gotoh 510 tuners (I picked the tuners up the day after I told my girlfriend that I wanted the exact same tuners for my birthday). Oh well, I could always use an extra set if she does get them for me. ![]() Hey Lance, I have that same neck angle jig. I've only used it once and about to use it again on my second build, but I love it. And Chris is great to do business with as well. Congrats on your new tool. Thanks to all for their participation in the Swap meet. I'm convinced that W.A.S. is not just some made up symptom. It's very real. ![]() |

3 Birds-eye maple sets from Bob, a spanish cedar neck blank from Bob as well, and a bunch of bridge blanks, head plates and bindings from Rich. Some really cool purple and pinks in the lot. Looks like I might have to build a really girly guitar soon. ![]() |

Well, I got me 2 "landscape" Coco bridge blanks from my good friends Rich and Darci Fry's table that will go very nicely with that lovely "landscape" Coco Dred set I got from them last swapmeet. One of the blanks will probably become a bridge ![]() ![]() I also grabbed a couple of MadRose and Kingwood BB's from Rich and Darci and was quite happy to leave it at that. That was of course until they posted some great looking African Hog sets at a fantastic price of 4 for $100 and, because I now had a carton coming, I also put the bite on for some bindings and things for box stuffers. Thanks Rich and Darci ![]() ![]() Also, I was lucky enough to pick up 1 lot of 10 x African Ebony headplates from our great mate Steve Roberson of Colonial Tonewoods. Once again I was happy to just let them come along in a USPS Flatrate Envelope for around $12 shipping to AU. But, then he went and listed those amazing Spanish Cedar sets @ just $50 a piece if you buy 3 or more, so, along with the Ebony headplates, I now also have 5 x Spaniards on the way. Beautiful stuff thanks Steve. ![]() ![]() By my last count, Steve still had a few of those Spanish Cedar set available, probably because they where a very late listing. They are extra special beautifully figure sets sliced from very old wood so you may want to PM him if you have an interest. All in all it was yet another great meet and I must thank Lance and Brock for turning on yet another good one for the OLF Marauders. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers all Kim |

I got Lance's binding jig, designed by my good friend Don Williams. Can't wait to get it. 5 of Paul Woolson made cam clamps from Brock. And possible a set of flamed mahogany from Fryovanni, but I haven't heard yet. |

Well, I got a lot of stuff I probably don't really need, but what's the fun in that. I picked up the Cocobolo rim set and back from Lance. Probably take it apart for repairs then rebend to fit my OM mold. A rainy day project, I guess. I got a lot of nice stuff from Rich this time around. I couldn't pass up the figured Walnut B/S sets so I snagged one. Got a similar set from him last swap meet so I know this one will be outstanding too. Weakened on the African Mahogany B/S sets, couldn't help myself. Also picked up some of his Lutz tops and a nice curly Redwood top. Speaking of tops I got a nice PM from Ringo (lex_luthier). I had inquired about the squirrel-claw Engelmann tops but Rich indicated he was sold out. Ringo asked Rich to send one of his my way. Very generous, I really appreciate it. Typical of the folks who frequent this forum. I'd like to return the favor so look for a PM from me, Ringo. Thanks to our hosts and thanks to the sellers for making this swap meet fantastic. They just keep getting better. |
