Will everyone who is still interested in the Clapton bio reply to this thread? What we've been doing is this: a guy/girl reads it, signs and/or comments somewhere as to where it's been, and sends it on to the next guy/girl on the list...everyone pays their own postage...ie, it gets sent to you free, then you pay postage to the next on the list...hopefully it ends up back with me with the colorful, interesting documentation of where it's been...by the by Rollo, you're the next (and to date, last) person on the list...please PM me with your details so Dave can send it to you!

Larry, I thought I was the last one to get the book and had the honor of returning it to Rod. Did the list get truncated?

Ok, just so we're all on the same page (no pun intended)...this is the travelling Clapton bio that I started around...not the Handmedown OLF'er that Rod started...but, since we have a list...if everyone who is interested in Clapton will reply to this thread from here, we'll keep it going....

Thanks!

Please stick me in that list. He's one of my hero's, right after Hendrix.

OK...Who's on first? I don't know's on second.........

For WHAT book title was the original reading list established? And where is it now?
I thought it was a Claption book, but that was several years ago and my memory dims with each passing day. ;) The list in this thread is the one I remember signing up for, but it doesn't contain a book title.

I'll read whatever arrives at my door, presuming I live long enough to see it, or "them". :)

From the looks of things, Rod True started a book around before I did...I actually got the idea from a thread here, and had just finished the Clapton bio and so I started it around via a PM list of names...but Dave Higham has no one to send it to now...seems some of the folks who'd signed up are no longer here...so, we need a new list for my book...Hank, you're right...we may be reading Eric's obit (God forbid!) by the time the list is complete!

Larry buddy let me please reaffirm that I would like to be on the list to receive the book. I have already read it and it was great - a good read, but I want to share in the OLF spirit that this book represents and sign it too.

Thanks for doing this! [:Y:]

Rods book is called "Claptons guitar" -The story of Wayne Henderson building one guitar
for Clapton and one for the author Allen St. John.
Larrys is called "Clapton-the autobiography" about Claptons life story . Correct ?

Hey Larry -I would like to be on the list for your book too! Thanks... :D

Well, I've still got the Autobiography and I'll wait for Larry to tell me who to send it to next. I don't know how many people have read it because, up to now, nobody's signed it or made a comment :( . All I can tell is that someone who's read it smokes cigars ;) .

Actually, I'd have liked to be on the 'Clapton's Guitar' list too but I thought the list was closed. Am I too late?

Thanks Larry,
I'm about half-way through it now. Very interesting book. I will indeed sign it and send it to Big Hank.
Hank, PM me your full address and I'll shoot it your way in a couple weeks.

Just had a "wild hair" idea...how about the luthiers that read the book add a business card to it before sending on? We could tape/glue them onto the inside front/back covers, blank pages at the beginning/end of the book or some third choice to be decided.
This would give someone, someday, an ancient history track of who we were and what we did...should they care! idunno

Any opinions??????

I just received the book today from Vinman who I had the pleasure of meeting in person in A2 last month.

I was touched by the hand written entries from around the world and now it's making the hoime stretch across the USA.

Rod, you'll be happy to know that the book is physically intact and I promise that it will remain so as I send it off to brother Hesh next.

Very cool JJ,

The book you have is of course as you know the book I started in Feb 07'.

This thread is about a book that Larry started some time after that, but it's good to know where my book is at (the tracking for my book is in the off topics section).
