Hey all,

First of all: where do you guys buy your Nitro Lacquer? I have been getting mine from Stewmac and Woodworkers supply. Any other resource? Like to purchase 1 gallon containers.

Also, here is the "dumb" question or "odd"

can one use sitka spruce for the "back" of a parlor sized acoustic? idunno

Thank you!

-Rick

Boucher guitars has a model with Adi B&S, check their website.
I played a prototype guitar with spruce B&S (a D) and it sounded good, maybe on the bright side, which may not be ideally suited for a small guitar. I assume one would have to graduate a spruce back a little thicker than the usual hardwoods.

And LMI sells McFadden nitro lacquer in 1 gallon containers. Maybe there are cheaper alternatives out there.
