We recently inherited my grandmothers baby grand piano, which has inspired me to take some lessons and learn a little about the instrument. In the course of lessons and talking to a tuner they both recommended "Note by Note" which is the story of the making of a Steinway grand.
Terrific movie and a very intimate view of what goes into the construction of one of those beauties.
Highly recommended!

My uncle puts on a annual jazz festival sponsored by Steinway, and we've had the guys down giving a talk on how they make them. A very interesting process indeed!
