Well I am just thrilled tonight in as much as I just received pictures from Joe White of my guitar that he has completed finishing with poly. I will have the guitar back here Monday, which will have been exactly 21 days from when I dropped it off at Joe's - amazing turn around.

Take a look :P

Hesh that looks great.Do you know if Joe used any pore filler or just a sealer and then shot the poly,as Sir Grumpy does?

James, I can answer this one. I am actually pore filling with WEST System [i]and[i] the poly itself. Sir Grumpy and Sir Rick are at different ends of the filling method and I chose the middle for now. T am trying to keep the film thin but have a proper fill on the pores as well. Both materials work great.

I think that he did Skin but he should be along shortly, if he can get in, he was having problems with the new site, to let us know for sure.

Well, I posted as a guest above. I hope this one identifies me? Do y'all have to type that verification code at the bottom every time you post?

No, you don't have to type that annoying Verification Code each time as a Registered Member. Are you the one what painted that guitar up there? Does Poly mean Polyurethane?

I just happened to be over at Joe's shop yesterday which was the day after he sprayed the guitars. I was amazed at how hard and how thin the coats were. Joe showed me the tapes which measured around 2 or 3 mils in thickness. Even though the film had not yet been buffed and polished it had a very smooth and clear look. I can only imagine how luscious it looks now in person.

I'm in line to have 2 Electrics finished in a few weeks and can't wait to see the results.

Hey Joe are you the "guest"? Great job my friend!!!!!

Many of us, me included, are having the same issue where the passwords that we have been sent won't let us see any active forums. Brock can fix you up I am sure.

Thanks again for the great pics!!!!!

Methinks Joe is incognito, and not by choice. Joe, send Brock an email, and he'll reset your password. Then maybe you can get on. I think you can send it to brock at polingguitars dot com.

Oh yeah, I forgot what I was here for. Finish looks really outstanding, Joe and Hesh. *clapping* *clapping*

Thanks folks! :P

This guitar will be at a local guitar builder lunch Monday for a number of OLFers to evaluate in person. JJ has already seen it in person.

And in a few weeks this guitar will be at Uncle Bob's (Zootman - RC Tonewoods) for another get together and perhaps I can persuade someone into cutting a sound clip then.

Yes James. West System epoxy, great stuff. It's good to be back on and have the forum recognize me.

Welcome Home, Joe. Your finish looks really great. It is nice to be recognized, isn't it, even if it is by a machine. :)
