next was the headstock design. Made about a dozen different similar deasigns until i had one that would work and i liked. I have some other stuff in my head to do with the next design but for now this is close enough to what i had envisioned....

Then came getting the design on the veneer and setting it up for glueup. Note the hight tech cotton swabs used to pin the headstock in alignment...

Then Binding the fretbaord...

and after roughing out the headstock, aligning the fretboard and routing the neck width to match the freatboard we end up with...

then came adding a wedge under the fingerboard extension and doing the final fitting to match the top...

Next visit will be shaping the neck and thicknessing the headstock. Still so much to do.... It'l be nice to have her home by Thanksgiving...
