On SS and fabric softener. I was using FS because of the high cost to get SS over our border. Tried FS a number of times with different woods and it helps. Finally broke down and picked up some SS. Did a pair of pine sides, usually softwoods crease at the waist. Came out perfect with the SS. I'm sold on the stuff.

Did I ever show the results of my early attempts at cutaway bending...

It's not quite fair as I was working on some timber as a trial which turned out to be virtually unbendable. But it did rather put me off doing cutaways for a while!

Colin, when I use SSII i dampen the sides with the SSII then put in plastic bag overnight.
